Rant incoming. I’m a tired, frustrated parent from the Gachibowli - Kokapet - HITEC - Madhapur - Kondapur belt and I honestly don’t understand how we, as a community, are tolerating this madness. Grade 1 fees in our area (tuition alone!) are now openly in the ₹2.5–6 lakh range. For SIX-YEAR-OLDS. And that’s before the “extras.” Here’s what I’ve seen/been quoted this season: Shri Ram Universal School (CBSE): ₹3.10L (tuition) Birla Open Minds: ₹2.80L (CBSE tuition), ₹3.80L (IGCSE tuition) Abode School, Tellapur: ₹2.80L (IGCSE tuition) Phoenix Greens, Kokapet: ₹3.10L (CBSE tuition), ₹3.62L (IGCSE tuition) Manthan / Gaudium / Shri Ram Academy: all >₹3.5L (tuition only) Vignan World One, Kondapur: ₹2.50L (CBSE tuition), ₹2.80L (IGCSE tuition) And then the fixed add-ons every single school piles on: Books + Uniform: ₹20–25k Food: ₹40–50k Transport: ₹40–60k Now the real kick in the gut: almost all of them do a minimum 10% hike every year. Some even do “slab jumps” (Pre-primary → Grade 1, Grade 5 → 6, Grade 8 → 9) with 20%+ increases when you cross those grades. Do the math—by Grades 4–5 we’re staring at ₹4–7 lakhs a year. For school. In Hyderabad. And if you think “Ok, I’ll try a reputed public school,” good luck. DPS Khajaguda, BVB JH, Jubilee Hills Public School, Gitanjali Vedika (Narsingi)—all insanely competitive, lottery-based admissions where chances are basically zero for most. This is the IT corridor. We’re mostly educated, we work in data-driven jobs, we negotiate with clients, we question assumptions at work: why aren’t we questioning this? How are we normalizing a fee structure that many of us never saw even in college, let alone Grade 1? We turned out fine with values, work ethic, and the ability to earn. Why can’t the same be true for our kids without burning holes in our pockets year after year? Also… what is the government doing? Why is there no transparent fee regulation from Telangana for private schools in GHMC/extended areas? Why are annual hikes treated like a divine right? Our companies don’t guarantee 10% hikes every year. Why are we meekly signing on to this “standard” when classrooms, labs, libraries, and teacher-student ratios don’t show proportional upgrades? And please don’t tell me the price guarantees “quality.” Too many kids coming out of these places still need separate coaching for everything: be it for sports, music, coding, languages, entrance prep, you name it. Meanwhile, I keep hearing about “foreign tours,” “entrepreneurship bootcamps for kids,” and compulsory contributions for annual day/sports day : ₹2,000–₹5,000 per family as if the base fee wasn’t enough. Since when did “education” become a luxury lifestyle subscription? I know this will ruffle feathers, but someone has to say it: we’re paying lakhs for branding and FOMO. And we’re doing it silently. That silence is exactly why fees keep climbing. So what now? Can we compare actual fee sheets (tuition + all add-ons) across schools in this belt and publish a community tracker? Can we push for a parent association across neighborhoods (not school-controlled PTAs) to demand transparent fee breakdowns and justify hikes? Can we ask MLAs/Corporators for a public meeting on fee regulation and publish minutes? Can we collectively refuse mid-year add-ons and insist on a one-pager that lists all costs upfront? Can we normalize choosing good-enough schools over hype brands and stop this arms race? Hyderabad parents, are we really okay with ₹4–7 lakhs a year by primary school? Are we okay with automatic 10% hikes? With “slab jumps” that blindside families? With “value-adds” that look like marketing decks? Why is the community so quiet? If we’re strong enough to build world-class products and negotiate with global clients, surely we can ask fair, transparent questions about our children’s education right here at home. End of rant. But honestly, this shouldn’t be the end - drop your numbers, your school’s fee letters (redact names), your hike history, and let’s put sunlight on this. This is this same post on Twitter/X. This is really nice society, I have lived here 2 years. Vibe is very family friendly. Security guard and other staff of this society is very kind and helpful. It has 2 bhk, 3 bhk, 4 bhk and duplexes . Club House building is in progress for very long time but hopefully it will be finished by 2022. Surrounding of this society is perfect. You have local market area in Narsing 2km. It has 3 shopping places for groceries and kitchen utensils like vyjetha, ratnadeepa, avrn green. With in the society it has Surya kitchen small take away restaurant. prices in this restaurant is very cheap. Outside of society it has KFC, and pizzahut. There are shops for momos, chat, jalebi, panipuri, bhutta, chai
It is a society called 7 hills apartments in Narsingi , Kokapet, Hyderabad with all amenities for residents such as apollo, gym, swimming pool, salon, tea stall, banquet halls, big basket vending machine, fruits and vegetables vendors came every morning, etc. A very decent and affordable place to live.
It’s a pioneer in the area. Located in the Kokapet region which is the most sought after area now in Hyderabad. All the facilities for schooling, Medicare, shopping, picnics, devotion are available in the vicinity. Being close to the ORR, reaching airport or any other place is very easy. Society has 853 dwelling units spread over seven towers. Designed for Zone 3 - one level higher. Built with gapped brick construction making the living cooler than normal. Has 100% DG backup powering all the fans, lights and even air conditioners even when there is a power outage. A peaceful yet most happening society with all festivals and events performed with enthusiasm and gaiety.
One of the best and affordable society in Kokapet area.
I think teview has been posted even before. A one of theinitial apartments ithe area luxurious , well designed and maintained premises, nice gentry. Calm place rquipped with club, gim, guest houseplay areas canteen/ mrss for food and snacksfor residents and guests only. A conferemcehsll to accommodate about 200 persons is also available in the premisrs.
Almost all flats have seepage issues, Even with a high monthly maintenance fee of around ₹5,000, basic amenities like the gym and pool aren’t free. The maintenance quality is poor, and the management is very bad at handling issues.
Nice place, great view, awesome location. Very big towers. Lots of parking space. Good security. Multiple playgrounds for kids. Essential shops are nearby. Swimming pool and gym are great but costs extra money. Grocery and pharmacy are inside the complex. The area is becoming posh day by day.
Parking is always stinking with sewage water. Society/office people have scammed the money for Club house and Swimming pool - so it will never be there. C2 block’s - lifts money also scammed. So residents are paying 5000 maintenance to fund the lifts also. Maybe next year, everyone will start paying 10000 to pay for club house amenities.
Very good society with great location, safety, convenient stores nearby and the best it’s just next side of the road to Allu cinema.
A good quite place to stay in with a super lit view of the ORR and Golconda fort. The clubhouse and one of the building's under construction. Authority takes a lot of time to attend to the problem....but good place for the techies to stay in to remove work stress out of their mind!
I have been living in this society since 2018 and the quality of maintenance has gone from good to worse. Maintenance charges are extremely high (5k). Workers don’t clean corridors, the water in taps and flush is bad and foul smelling, there is always a garbage smell in the society, lifts are not cleaned etc. For this quality, rents are exorbitantly high (3bhk - 45-48k), almost all flats have seepage. Construction is old. Security and office members are rude and biased.
